P.S.~ did you brush the paint onto the fruit or dip t ihe fruitn the paint? Darci we tried it both ways but dipping it into the paint seemed more effective to me. You can test a few times on paper before stamping the fabric. π
Hi Darci, Well, it's just plain hot here too and by the looks of it next week will be near 3 digit temps. Guess that's normal for summer in the south! It will slow up the mowing until the rain moves in.
Hopefully you have good luck drying flowers. I have never gotten into that, let me know how it goes!
Yesterday I went to the humane society with Jamie and the boys again to sit and read to a pup. Pepper, the sweet 7 month old we had seen 2 other times was fostered out so we couldn't see her. We were so happy that she may have a chance for a forever family!
Hello Darci it was so humid here yesterday we stayed upstairs all day we only came downstairs to go to the bathroom or to eat today it's less humid day here we were actually able to spend the day downstairs oh! I forgot to tell you it was so hot & humid here yesterday that Ceil couldn't breathe until we went upstairs for the rest of the day it's not as hot here today currently it's 88* at 2:30 in the afternoon here's hoping that you have more hens than roosters talk soon
Also forgot to say we used the Apple Barrel paint sold on the craft aisle at walmart. It used to be 50 cents a bottle. Not sure how much it is now. It seems to hold up well for crafts.
Good Morning Darci, thank you! I just did one side of the dish towel with the lemon lime design. Some of the girls made a center line of designs and left a plain white border on each side. I'm gonna try a white tee shirt next time and use oranges. It's very warm and breezy here. I don't know where all that wind is coming from each day but it's keeping it tolerable outside so hope it sticks around.
Hello, dear friend. I've been busy tending to many doc appointments, home health, and trying to play catch-up here at home for ignoring my household chores for weeks. Maybe normal will return soon. Hope you are doing well and keeping cool & comfy during this heat. Take care! *hugs* -di
Hi there. We got almost 4.5 inches of rain in the rain guage from last night and this mornings storms. Lots of places around here flooded. Went and saw our son Trey this morning. Ate lunch with him and his wife. Then we played mini golf on the computer. I beat him twice. Then I came home. Not much else going on here. Need to take a nap. The cooler weather makes me sleepy. Well take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your day. Hugs to you, Cheryl
Happy mid-week Darci! On this whimsical Wednesday, wishing for some rain & a cool down. Not likely to happen as continued 90F (32C) temps are expected the rest of the week. Heat makes me so sleepy . . . π
Good morning. Cool rain came through and is continuing as of this typing. Currently 71* going to a high of 74* A vast improvement. I am trying to cool the house down by aerating the place. Tomorrow is the eye exam so I feel confined today, as with all appointments. I use the appointments for social dating. Nothing planned for today. Playing it by ear,to coin a phrase. I leave you now with this thought: You do not have to bring out the snow shovels yet. Have a reasonable day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Well, I got that wayward tooth taken care of, yesterday. Turns out that it had broken. It is the remains of a root canal, and I over used it to the point of breaking what was left of the tooth. So the doctor fixed it, the best he could. Let me know that it would, eventually, happen again, and then I'll have to have it pulled out. AND, he did it for free...
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Darci, I pray YOU have a WONDER-FILLED WEDNESDAY/HUMPDAY, and are having a WONDIFEROUS WEEK, my friend...
