Happy Saturday. It is June and I have not worked on turning the calendar pages as of yet. Too Busy with other things. The dinosaurs have not been disturbing me as of yet inside the wall of my Ready Room. Thursday night was horrible but I have not heard anything as of yet this morning. I think I have avoided the get-together for today that was creating trauma. I planted the seeds of the idea I would not attend last night with the emissary in charge of inviting this writer. I am expecting rain near daybreak so I might not go for the walk this morning. I have just had to turn the computer off as the Microsoft people have tried to forcibly update me. This has been going on for eons as they don't seem to understand the update is slowing this computer down. I have allowed them to do it three times and every time I have had to reinstall the previous Windows. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
That's the thing about we retired folk, a weekend, day, is just another day...
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Darci, I pray YOU have a STEADFASTLY SENSATIONAL SATURDAY, and are having a SPLENDIFEROUS WEEKEND, my friend...
Hi Darci~ yes I can see the weekend as 'tis now Saturday morning June 1 equals the official start of winter and looks like we're in for a very wet weekend here. I've begun improving since the set back and now am hopeful of getting on top of things. It's great when you set out to handle things and end the day knowing you accomplished your targets! Wishing you a pleasant easy going and relaxing weekend. See you next time. Take care. Love from Tarlia
Here it is time to turn another page on the calendar! The weather has been cooler here and not so hot and humid but next week will change a lot!
Yesterday I had Dylan for most of the day while Jamie took Mason for an appointment. Dylan had been planning our day together for weeks. He wanted to go to McDonalds for lunch, which i haven't been to in ages. Then we went to the dollar tree so he could get a balloon and pick out some new coloring books. Grab grocery pick up and then I helped him with his school work. We played with play doh, colored and played UNO. it was a busy but fun day. Jamie ended up having a flat tire on her way to the appointment which was an hour and a half away! someone was kind enough to help her change it so Andrew didn't end up having to leave work. Poor girl, she has her hands full.
Amanda and the kids are doing good. Just finished their schooling too so they are enjoying some free time. they went to a splash pad today with friends. That was a fun way for them to cool off!
My new 4-step ladder came in today so that means I will be able to trim my bushes tomorrow. the wooden step ladder I had just wasn't sturdy enough for me, it is very old!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend whatever you have planned.
Wake up and let's get this Friday started. It is almost the weekend. And the weekend is for resting and doing little to nothing! It is the last day of May and June is about to start.
After all that we have done this past week, I do think the warranty is just about to expire on yard work and housework and picking up limbs from trimmed trees.
Rbt and I joined a new group. Have you heard of it? It might include napping daily. We have come to the realization that we can't keep up with our kids and grandchildren.
We are even having trouble keeping up with technology and all the new updates. Do you remember the way the phone used to work when you just flipped it open or just picked up the receiver and dialed the number?
There are so many distractions. We just need to stay on course and not get off track. Getting old is NOT for sissies and I just want to accomplish Jesus' "to do" list for me.
Good morning. Last day of the month and I am besieged by the dinosaur in the wall and not having security on this machine. Have a good day and be ready to change the calendar pages. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
