Hi there. We got almost 4.5 inches of rain in the rain guage from last night and this mornings storms. Lots of places around here flooded. Went and saw our son Trey this morning. Ate lunch with him and his wife. Then we played mini golf on the computer. I beat him twice. Then I came home. Not much else going on here. Need to take a nap. The cooler weather makes me sleepy. Well take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your day. Hugs to you, Cheryl
Happy mid-week Darci! On this whimsical Wednesday, wishing for some rain & a cool down. Not likely to happen as continued 90F (32C) temps are expected the rest of the week. Heat makes me so sleepy . . . π
Good morning. Cool rain came through and is continuing as of this typing. Currently 71* going to a high of 74* A vast improvement. I am trying to cool the house down by aerating the place. Tomorrow is the eye exam so I feel confined today, as with all appointments. I use the appointments for social dating. Nothing planned for today. Playing it by ear,to coin a phrase. I leave you now with this thought: You do not have to bring out the snow shovels yet. Have a reasonable day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Well, I got that wayward tooth taken care of, yesterday. Turns out that it had broken. It is the remains of a root canal, and I over used it to the point of breaking what was left of the tooth. So the doctor fixed it, the best he could. Let me know that it would, eventually, happen again, and then I'll have to have it pulled out. AND, he did it for free...
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Darci, I pray YOU have a WONDER-FILLED WEDNESDAY/HUMPDAY, and are having a WONDIFEROUS WEEK, my friend...
Darci Do How Are YOU!! We have been going through a heat wave!!Usually, we don't have many days of 90's in the summer! Different this summer.Flowers are looking good. But Boyd waters them, when he waters his garden. Boyd's leg is hea;ing nicely, now. It would have been alot better if he had gone on to a doctor!! Was on antibiotics for total of 17 days. Plus they ran a bag through a IV. He tripped and fell out front while doing mulch!! Waited 9 days to see a doctor! Hope you have a great rest of your week! Shirley
good morning Darci, here's our flour sacks craft me and the girls tried last week. We used cut lemons to "stamp" the green and yellow paint on the dishtowels. It was fun. Gonna try oranges next. Happy Tuesday!
I'm taking a break from social media for awhile...I don't know how long I'll be off NOTH, so don't worry if you don't see me post for several days or weeks...got a lot to do, plus I want to read a few books while I'm off here...
Hi Darci so nice to catch up. Both the black/blueberries are flourishing I hope bringing you lots of joy in the kitchen with your recipes! Sounds great that you have cucumbers to make salads with from your garden too! Hope your tomatoes will rippen and you can enjoy them too! We have pretty typical winter conditions and I'm keeping rugged up and snug against the cold. I hope you've been enjoying bright and happy days. See you soon. Take care! Love & Hugs from me x

Wonderful Wednesday to you! Whatcha up to? I've done several things this morning and now waiting for the dryer to notify me my towels are dry. Since it's not awfully humid, I hung a load of colored clothes on the line earlier. I pick blackberries daily and now blueberries are coming on a bit at a time. We have cucumbers coming out our ears already! I made a cucumber salad with supper last night. Waiting no-too-patiently for tomatoes to start ripening! Enjoy this day, dear Tarlia!
Good morning. Going to be another hot one today. Tomorrow, a day of cooling. It does not pay for me to aerate the house. The difference in the temp between outside and inside is about 2*. In years past, I could cool the house down overnight. I guess one can look at it as not bad compared to my neighborhood in a billion years. The average temp will be 1500* F. I don't think central air will keep up. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet! Postscript: yesterday when I went out for the walk, insects were attacking me all the way, culminating in this writer swallowing a gnat close to home and going through some draconian moves attempting to expel the monster from my throat!
Monday was a busy one..we will see what Tuesday brings, did y'all get rain this morning? I had looked at the weather radar around 8 am (Monday) and it was showing green (rain).. I'm having to water everything outside..
Good afternoon from the hot, 93* feels like 97*, and windy Forgan, Oklahoma. I went to see Trey this morning. It wasn't to bad yet but by the time I left the heat was awful. Went and bought groceries and then came home. Trey is doing good. His leg is now just in a splint with some guaze around it. It looks like a boot. He has to wear that for a month without any pressure on his leg. Hopefully in a month he will get to start physical therapy. He is ready for that. Well take care my friend and stay cool. Hugs, Cheryl
