good morning Darci, this was our weekend...6 inches of rain in all. Starting to dry out some now but no sun to speak of. Still kinda gloomy but we should get some sun to cheer us up soon. . Have a good new week!
Monday is here and we are still remembering the memories we made over the weekend.
We had such a blessed weekend. It started when our neighbors came over for a visit in the backyard. Jessica was pushing Bennett who is 8 and his sister who is 2 in our swing. Their laughter was music to our ears.
Then our adopted family arrived. We had the best time together celebrating 3 birthdays! We went to eat Mexican Food and "visited up a storm". Of course, the Texas Longhorns winning was the cherry on top.
Meet our grandson, Will, who is 6'5" at age 17. Yes he is taller than his dad who loves to mess with him. Yes, I am short!
Yes, Will is taller than his 6' mom! She takes such good care of us and obviously her son too.
Our dog Carly, loves everyone. Will doesn't even fit on the couch. But a fun time is always had when we are all together. Will has learned to tell long stories just like his Grandpa (as I shake my head).
Yes, we are very sad as they drive off because they are about 2 hours away and we don't like to drive after dark any more. We are so thankful every time they come to visit us. Yes, we are...
It's a quiet day after a busy busy week! I hope you are getting time to enjoy some quiet time too before a new week begins. Jamie/Andrew took Mason the er last Sunday. he had been running a temp for a few days, hardly ate or drank then throwing up, besides his eyes looking really red. They did all the tests on him and all were negative. he ended up having Upper respiratory infection. he was a sick little boy but not so dehydrated that the doctor wanted to put him through getting an iv. they did give him meds and the next day he was improving.Dylan spent the night with me since they didn't leave the hospital until after midnight. It was Dylan's turn to get sick this week so I was watching him when Jamie was running Mason to school and picking him up since he was able to go back to school Wednesday.
My skylight is leaking again so the roofers came out to put a tarp over before the rain, which it has hardly rained at all. Hopefully they will be out this week after the materials come in and just take the skylight out for me!
Had to go for an oil change yesterday so its just been a hectic week besides just all the normal routine stuff.
Hope you are doing good. I am sure you are busy with your Christmas baking.
Your page looks delicious!
Thank you for all your visits, I really enjoy them. Hugs,Rhonda
Good morning. Happy Advent for those who celebrate Christmas in real time. Some snow this morning. Not much. Just enough to make it slippery and remind me of the book by Doctor Leo Marvin, BABY STEPS. It took me longer to complete the assignment this morning. I did get some extra credit this morning reconnoitering someone's property to see if they have the decor up yet. They did not and so it was a wasted trip. I probably will remain sequestered today except for a constitutional around the neighborhood to make certain the neighbors are doing well and to give me the opportunity to hear someone in real life. Have a good day........ and don't slip. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
