I like roots music...bluegrass, blues, etc. I also like indigenous music (flutes, percussion, voices).

The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam...Ishmael...Anything by Barbara Kingsolver and Diane Ackerman...the Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood. Most recently, I have discovered Eckhart Tolle and DePak Chopra

Mostly earth tones...anything from terra cotta to moss green. Occasionally, the inert "drama queen" in me will emerge, and I will go for a periwinkle or an emerald green.

Potato soup...eggplant parmesan...sugar snap peas, fresh from the garden, caprese, Rum Raisin ice cream.

I am 67 years old and fairly independent. I have one child, a daughter, who will never give me grandchildren because she is so busy saving the world. I love animals and currently share the lives of 3 cats (Sirius, Sassafras, & Sophia). I like to wander around in the woods with my flute and sometimes play until I am breathless or the flute fills with moisture. I am a member of an organic farm, I vote in all elections, and I do not belong to an organized religion. I am drawn to quirky people...they are usually sooooo much more interesting. I have kissed a lot of frogs (and a few princes). I like garage sales and singing with the radio

Nature. I have a small pop-up camper, and I like nothing better than to wake up at dawn to the sound of birds singing all around me and the fresh smell of "outside."

I am also an animal lover and tend not to trust people who don't like animals.

My hobbies are pretty eclectic. I play native American flute and make rose beads (from real rose petals). I play Mah-jongg once a week. I keep an ongoing lifetime journal, and I have written a book of poetry.
