We have our first 90* temperature today. No, I'm not celebrating the fact. LOL It's sticky and quite a rude awakening after the past week's lovely, perfect weather. We have been to the library and out to our oldest daughter's house and I've made a strawberry cobbler that is in the oven right now. I know....what a dummy to have the oven on when it's so hot. But the a/c is running and I think we'll survive. When we are enjoying that cobbler tonight, we will be glad I heated up the kitchen. HAHA Have a great rest of the day.
Happy weekend Judi. Have enjoyed seeing your layout updates. Will use them on my test page. We have warmed up here big time, along with the humidity. I’m not a fan of summer, but here in the South, we just deal with it and go on. Fall is my favorite season. Enjo the weekend, and I will drop in soon -:)
Had a beautiful day yesterday sharing our granddaughters graduation from college. We are so proud of her getting a BS degree in geography-environmental resource studies & a BA degree in communication studies as well a several honor societies & graduating summa cum laude. And so goes another chapter in life . Have yourself a great weekend & hope the weather stays safe for you.......George
Good morning on this Saturday morning. I'm expecting thunderstorms today. As a matter of fact, rain all the way until Monday. When I went outside this morning to cast out the water, it felt quite pleasant at 47°. It had not started raining yet so that was a good thing. The selection at the theater yesterday was a good movie. A lot of action. The only downside was I had to sit too close to the screen. My only other option would have been to sit next to some stranger in the movie theater. I try to avoid that, and as an adult, I think I was only subjected to that a couple of times. The woman at the ticket office knows my preference and advised me of such before purchasing a ticket. I go to one of those theaters that have recliners and you buy a ticket for a specific seat. Usually the time I go to the movie is early and I do not have this problem. They were showing the movie in this time slot at a smaller theater and therefore I was subjected to torture. I almost felt after watching the movie when getting ready to exit that my vertigo was coming back. But then I realized I was on top of the screen and probably hallucinating. In either case I was able to exit the theater with no fanfare. Nothing on my agenda for today except church later this afternoon.
Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, hope it is a good one for you. Our nice warm sunshine has gone away, now it is cool and raining. One good thing is I don't have to water the lawn now. Take care my friend and enjoy your weekend~~ hugs, debijo
Good morning on this Friday morning. It is MOVIE DAY, and this writer shall be attending in approximately 4 1/2 hours, give or take 37 seconds as of this communique. The temperature will be somewhat better today. About 60°after being an the eighties yesterday. I successfully climbed my psychological mountain and was able to get the lawn mowed. There seems to be no residual affects from doing that considering my battle with vertigo. I am almost ready for challenging my motorcycle. I'm expecting thunderstorms today so I'm glad I got the lawn mowed yesterday. We had the rain in the morning and dried out rather nicely since there does not seem to be any humidity on this side of the Mason Dixon line.
Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet! A postscript: if you are planning on taking any drug tests for any reason, do not eat a bagel or any other substance that has poppy seeds on it. You will fail the test for opiates. Another horror story about a woman giving birth and having her baby taken away after testing positive. They later discovered it was the poppy seeds after ruining her reputation by interviewing people at the schools and in her neighborhood.
