A lazy Saturday..did work in yard a short while, but the heat won. Our 90's will stick around for two weeks, so they're saying now...possible sporadic pop showers along the way. The metal (for roof) came in yesterday, so we hope to have the shed finished early next week. Our builder is working today. Final inspection the following week..all good timing, as we leave for a weekend trip to TN and Boone, Blowing Rock NC on the 28th. Hard to believe we're halfway through June.
Hello Darci, we are baking in dreadful heat here. I'm keeping every fan going that I own and we have the window unit and Central unit cranking too. I don't even want to think about the next utility bill. Have a wonderful Saturday and stay cool!

Good morning. The other day, my trip to the mall was a success, to a point. I ordered some tennis shoes. Of course my coupon did not work for that product. I had not bought shoes from Penney's since they quit carrying Nikes. I decided to give another brand a chance. The failure of the trip was not being able to buy sunglasses from the kiosk. It is not there this year. They used to have my type and were inexpensive. Now I shall have to go to Walmart for them. Speaking of Walmart, I should go there today as I have become extremely low on butter. The only other thing today..... church later. My big project yesterday was to rid myself of a lot of the unopened/unread mail and debris from the mail around the house. About 2 years of mail. Most of my mail I do not even open any longer. It is a beautiful day at my homestead and I hope your day is beautiful, too. I've gotten a lot accomplished today. Made an Amish chocolate pie, picked blackberries, staked tomatoes, hung out wash....I'm sure you don't want all the details but I feel good about what I've done. Are you having a good start to the week? Jackie, I remember one when my family and several other families (friends) went camping and we found a gorgeous spring to swim in. YEAH RIGHT! That water was like ice and when I went in/under I know my brain momentarily froze. I had a brain freeze of epic proportions. Perhaps this explains what's wrong with me, huh? HAHA

Oh my goodness about that spring you found. Brrrrrrr! We get brain freeze from eating ice cream and going in to real cold springs oh dear! One of the best days of my life when I was young was tubing down a spring with friends in Florida. Perfect weather and temp. I felt like a queen just floating along for miles. It was wonderful. Love the old memories and making new ones too 😃
