Hi Darci, well you sure teased me with those pumpkin spice cookies! So thought I would stop by with some hot cocoa to go with them. bet your house did smell just yummy. Looks like we will have some cold nasty weather this weekend and maybe a snowflake or 2 Monday, yickes. Saturday we will do a Skype shower with Amanda. cant believe its time for that already. The baby is on some nerve and Amanda is having an awful time with her back. it will be a long wait for her to be born. I have had a couple sewing orders come in so that extra money will help. Had to go to the lawyers yesterday to sign some final papers that deal with retirement settlement. so many details to get everything completely over. I started a new crochet project Sunday. Its a pattern of a red Christmas truck hauling a Christmas tree. not sure if I will hang it on the wall or make it into a pillow. I have never made anything with a picture in the pattern like this so will see how it goes. Hope you have a warm cozy evening. Hugs,Rhonda
Yummm! The cookies sound delicious, and don't you just love the way baking cookies makes your house smell soooo good! I've been busy calling some relatives and friends to wish them a Merry Christmas, so that has been a good way to spend my morning. Also, taken care of some chores, too, of course - BOO! Been running some errands, so finally back home. Had lunch, so checking in here again. Our Christmas parade begins at 330, so hope to watch it via webcam. The traffic is bad, and unfortunately, our street is a cut thru for *after traffic*. Got my poinsettias outside in pots..rest of things are still outside in building, so will get all out by the weekend. Speaking of weekend..did you hear? S N O W 🙂🙂🙂🙂

I've blown and swept off the porches and walkways, done laundry, vacuumed....must be the nice weather has inspired me. I'll take it when I get it. Good Morning Darci, sounds like you've been getting soggy weather like us. I'm over all the rain but we will dry out sooner or later You're ahead of me with the gift wrapping. I've wrapped a total of none. I have purchased gift bags if that counts. I am mostly done with shopping though as I do most of that online. I'm all about not having to stand in line with tired feet! Most of my friends have all but stopped send Christmas cards. For one thing, it has become very expensive what with the cost of cards and postage, and for another, when one gets to be in their 80s, it becomes more difficult to write. I have begun sending Christmas messages through email mostly or calling and wishing friends a Merry Christmas, which is nicer than sending cards really.

Brrr, it's a chilly Tuesday for me. But very sunny and pretty. How is your weather today? I spent the morning writing Christmas cards and I believe I'll get them mailed at the post office Friday when we go for groceries. Each year it seems we give and receive fewer cards. Kind of sad, really. But times have changed and we must move along with the changes. Have a great afternoon/evening, Maria. I'll get my work done and then watch a Christmas movie tonight.

Put our Christmas things out Saturday, what few we use these days. Have gone from small table tree with permanent white lights on it but that we had to put lots of clear glass bulbs, chains, etc. on to our very pretty green ceramic tree that has colored lights on it and all we have to do is plug it in! HA! Easiest is best these days. With the things we do put out at Christmas, though, the LR is cheerful and very pretty, so I'm happy. Hugs to you, Maria
It is a beautiful Thursday for me, how about you Maria? Sunshine and perfect temps for nearly December. I have just refilled the bird feeders and while I was out there, the birds were just fussing at me. As if to say, "hey, lady, hurry up". Now they are happy once again and I get to be entertained by the birds and squirrels from my living room windows. Hope your day is going great. Our beloved weekend is almost here.
