Hi Darci - yes it was another warm day here - so much so Rich finally turned the AC back on as it was 73 in the house and it was all shut up. It was this warm yesterday but he wouldn't turn it on then, but since I invited his brother and wife over for dinner, guess that pushed him to do it. I made hamburger soup Thursday nite - think I mentioned it - and had so much that I thought it would be an easy dinner to do. Well entertaining is never easy for me. Had to clean the house and the bathrooms and was just getting ready to vacuum when they showed up. They brought a tray of different cheese, meats and crackers - told them not to bring anything. So we ate some of that, then dinner and I made a cake for the Moose Friday nite and had some left so that was desert. All in all it turned out good and I'm sure they like it. I know she said it releived her from thinking about what to make for dinner and I got rid of some soup! Tomorrow is my turn to cook for dominoes and if I was smart, I would have saved the soup for the four of us tomorrow nite. Will thin of something else that's easy. Did you have to turn on your AC Friday, Darci? I'm sure it was warm where you lived. Well - it's gonna stay warm thru Mon but turn colder just in time for the little trick or treaters. We are all candied up and the house is decorated somewhat outside, so we are ready for Tuesday. Hope you are enjoy this Indian summer we are having - it's lasted a good amoundt of time this year. Went to Walmart. Bought 4 items. Got out to the parking lot and found I paid for 3 items. Went back in and rectified the matter. Should have just kept going but received plaudits from the neighborhood. I went to Catholic school.
Hello Darci...Do you get many trick-or-treaters in your area? When we use to lived in town we use to get a pile of kids, but ever since we moved 2 miles from town, no one shows up here. I guess we live too far out. It's just as well since the price of candy has gone up so high. One year I thought we had enough candy and ended up running out. Good thing we had some of those packaged lunch crackers to hand out at the end. The following year, we spent $80 on candy to make sure we had enough and it ended up not as many kids showed up. Well, at least there was lots of candy left over for me and the hubby to eat. I don't think either of us needed it though. lol. I'm relieved that we don't have to worry about that anymore.. Happy Saturday. The coffee is on and then I shall be going to Walmart. I have been out of some food reserves since the car broke down unexpectedly. Got the car back but the cost of the repairs was traumatic. More than the car is worth but I did not feel like trying to buy a new one right now. Outside of my adventure in 45 minutes, give or take, church is the only thing on the calendar for the rest of the day. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

Good afternoon to you. I'm late getting on here cause we just got home from Oklahoma City 45 minutes ago. I had to get all of our stuff put up from spending the night in Oklahoma City last night as my doctor's appoinment was at 9:15 this morning. I made it for later in the day for the next time so we don't have to spend the night. Yesterday it was 83* and today its 52* and tomorrow its going to be even colder with a chance of freezing rain and Sunday not going to be getting out of the 30's and a chance of frozen mix. Not ready for this kind of weather. It doesn't feel to bad outside right now cause the sun is shining and no clouds. But the wind is going to pick up tonight so that will make it really cold.
