It's nearly impossible to avoid caffeine altogether. Coffee and all iced tea has caffeine. We're not going to get away from caffeine unless we'd start drinking flavored water, 7-up, Sprite or something like that and I'm not giving up my coffee or iced tea, so that means we're still consuming a lot of caffeine. When I was younger, I drank lots of Coke/Pepsi until I started to have stomach issues, then I stopped drinking Cola. I've been drinking iced tea for a long time now and yes, I also drink unsweetened tea, so it doesn't throw me into a gag mode (as you put it) lol. I don't like sugary drinks. Do you ever use artificial sweetners for anything? I do put a little Stevia (artificial sweetner) in my tea. Makes it a bit more lively! I too, believe in moderation when it comes to alcohol. Just like to try different things once in awhile. There's nothing wrong with having a mixed drink now and again (for special occasions). You only live once, my dear. lol... Autumn hugs ~ Darlene
I didn't get to enjoy outdoor time Wednesday as I got up early to go to an appointment and the door was locked. A woman did come to let us in and we told her we had an appointment so what could they do. Funny thing was, several other couples came too - so who ever made the appointments really messed up. We weren't home long before we left to go to Richie's doctor. We stopped to get soemthing to eat - a sandwich as we were going to the Moose at 6. I came home and got into the showe and did my hair before we left for the Moose - stayed there till 10. Came home and both of us got something to eat as we were hungry. Tomorrow Rich is taking LuLu to his old vet as she is acting nuts - like she's over medicated. She's only on Appoquil and we have stopped giving her that. It just breaks my heart seeing her like this and maybe to think she knows what she's going but can't do anyhting about it. Well hopefully the vet can figure it out - they are costly but we are so thnkful she could be soon so quickly. It's a gorgeous day here too Darci. I've been up early as I had an appointment at 9:30 got there and either the gal wrote down the wrong day or the wrong date. No matter I was accepted. Came home for a while then went with Rich to the doctors and stopped to get a sandwich on the way home as we are going out to the Moose around 6. I took a shower and washed my hair but it won't be dry befor leaving and if I blow dry it, I'll look like I put my finger in a socket and will need to use the curling iron on it to smooth it out. I really should have done it yesterday so I could have slept on it. So no time to do any house work. Have a good afternoon and evening. Gonna be 80 for a couple day - turn the AC back on!! Your apple crisp sounded delicious! Jamie and Dylan liked the maple ice cream better and dad liked them both! Dylan put in his request for more pumpkin ice cream so will make some for Thanksgiving to go with pumpkin pie, oh my!

Good afternoon friends. Its a pretty Fall afternoon here. Only in the mid 70's. I went to Walmart this morning and got the things we needed, then came home, got the laundry going and took a nap. I'm going to enjoy tomorrow as it will be up in the 80's and then the tempatures will fall for the rest of the week. We will be leaving tomorrow afternoon to go to Oklahoma City, I have a doctor's appoinment Friday at 9:15 to get my hormone pellet done. It will be nice to get it done as I have been having hot flashes. Sometimes that happens and other times it doesn't. Well enjoy the rest of your day and take care. Hugs, Cheryl
So our adopted family came Monday after Will's dentist appointment!
Oh what a fun time was had by all! We ate delicious hamburgers! The guys watched Westerns and talked. Wendy made a great Apple Cranberry Coleslaw from a recipe I found and had bought all the ingredients. Then we harvested my Malabar Spinach and had a wonderful visit together.
As usual, Rbt shared lots of stories from many years ago with some knowledge thrown in. Believe me when I say that there is a lot of knowledge and stories worth listening to from him.
There is no telling how tall my 17 year old grandson is now. His mom is 6' and his half brother is 6'9". When I reach out my arms, they are at his waist. He is such a loving and kind man that knows God and the Bible. We are BLESSED!
We are so thankful for the family and friends that Jesus has put in our life! I am especially Blessed with my Hubby!

Boy, October sure did race by, as I knew it would. We waited all summer for October now it's nearly gone! Halloween will be over and gone by next week. It all passed so quickly, almost feels like a dream. I've been watching Halloween movies off and on for the last couple of weeks. Before the month is over I want to get back to Applebees to try another one of their Halloween mixed drinks. I tried one of them earlier in the month, but want to get back there to try the other one. After the 31st they are no longer available. After that there will be a lull for a couple of weeks then they'll come out with their Christmas drinks. I love their fancy mixed drinks. Do you like mixed drinks? I do, but it all depends what's in them. Some are really tasty!

It was a no motivation day for me too Darci, and I didn't even bother looking for it.......hope you found yours. Had leftover chilie for dinner and honey wanted somthing for dessert later and I didn't have any so I sugguested we go to Sonic and get ice cream. That fixed our cravings. I alwso put towels away that I folded yesterday. I to find more motivation for tomorrow as I have to get up early to go somewhere then going to a getogether at the Moose at 6:30 then possibly out to dinner.
