 We use to go to Applebees on New Years Eve, but the last time we were there in 2021, it was so crowded and noisey. I use to like to order their special mixed drinks they make for special occasions. They're so tasty, but we're just going to stay home and watch the ball drop. So exciting!  Do you stay up to watch the ball drop? I'm always up at that time anyway, so I might as well watch. I'm a nightowl. I'm never in bed before 2 am. I sleep in late. I never liked mornings anyway. Always had to get up early when I went to work and I hated it. I remember dragging myself out of bed and for the first 2 hours at work, I felt like a zombie. I told myself that when I didn't have to work (outside the home anymore) that I'd never get up early again. I go to bed when I want and get up when I want. What time do you normally go to bed and get up?.... Well I took break for awhile and I did see the New Year come in. Hubby and I had wine together. It was a good feeling. I got a little tipsy! Remember, the first drink is never as good as the rest that follows. lol

We had to kinda split up our Christmas holiday this year, as Jamaica had started a new job, and had to work on Christmas. Danny, the traditionalist came over on Christmas, and Carl split his time up amongst the different families, and came over, yesterday, with Jamaica, and we all went out to dinner together. So the only child we didn't get to spend some time with was Astrea, and they live in Michigan, where most of our relatives live...A (semi) good time was had by all.

And every one of them has dogs and maybe a cat.  Our 3 dogs do NOT like them or thunder or lightning.  You would think after all these years they would get used to it.

I hope you are enjoying the last weekend of 2023! Where did this year go?!!
All the decorations are put away and everything is back in its place.
It has been so cold here, the wind makes the air frigid! Its good mitten weather thats for sure.
Now its time to enjoy the rest of the weekend with a few New years eve movies and crocheting! I agree with you, I like to be home on New years eve. I don't care to be out after dark unless I am with Jamie and Andrew. There is no place like home.

Hey, it is the last time we will see a Caturday in 2023.  You know what is coming, don't you!

Winter is coming!  OK, maybe some of you have already had a taste.  The wind this past week has been brutally icy!  

I know the snowmen love winter, and some of you crazy people do too.   I'm just crazy about you being my friend.  

Did you know that Spring is just 81 days away.  I love beautiful blooming flowers... and warmer temperatures.  

So for now we will enjoy that Caturday is here with a smile!  Because there is so much to look forward to in 2024.
