I am sorry about your stroke, but it is great that you are still with us and have much to share. And yes, I do understand about writing and the heart.  We cannot write without it.

hi lynne, just read your blog and see you are writing a new book, i too was a writer of poems mainly, fun short stories for friends, this below is my rendition of autum to spring, unfortunatly i had a bad stroke last year, my writing was a victime of it, as was my piano playing including composing solo's, ah' well it could have been worse,  at least im still alive and kicking, i managed to write one brain poem this year, normally they came from my heart, i assume you being a writer, you will understand what i meen with brain and heart writings bye for now and nice to meet you---------arthur

Autumn to Spring

Autumn bursts out of summer leaving death and decay in
it quest for renewal. Beautiful shades of reds browns and gold fluttering down
from lofty heights to cover the moss, peat and microscopic life, more of Mother
Nature’s wonderful creations. Providing food and shelter for the long winter
whiteness while awaiting the buds of spring to once again gather on the
branches high above to burst forth into new life
