I grew up with Rock-n-Roll and then one day, I don't know when or how it happened, it was all about Country, hmph.

I also like jazz and the blues and the old fashioned rock-n roll

A tribute to Bruddah IZ - Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, a fravorite son of Hawaii whose music brought joy to millions the world over. Featuring a medley of "Over The Rainbow" and "What a Wonderful World." IZ served as a goodwill ambassador for the native people of Hawaii and will remain in our hearts forever. Aloha and Mahalo!

Red, White, and Blue Eagle

Sometimes yellow, sometimes black, sometimes brown, sometimes...............

I like all colors. Colors are used to portray moods and effects and it really all depends upon the mood I'm in or what I am doing.

In Memory of my Dad
08/06/1929 to 09/06/2008

His Journey's Just Begun
Don't think of him
As gone away-
His journey's just begun,
Life holds so many facets-
This earth is only one...
Just think of him as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
That we could know today
How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away.
And think of him as living
In the hearts of those he touched...
For nothing loved is ever lost-
And he was loved so much.
---E. Brenneman—

In Memory of my Dad
I flew out of town the day I received the call that he may not make it through the night. I got there and was able to visit with him for awhile. He was still quite coherent but struggling. Some of the family members were going to take turns spending the night with Dad; mine was the following night.

I left dad’s house about 10:00 and he passed away the following morning at 3:30. I’d like to think that he waited long enough to see me and tell me he loved me.

I really didn't have a dad as I was growing up. My parents were divorced when I was 3 years old and he remarried shortly after that. The new wife had two kids, a boy and a girl, and then they had a boy together. The new wife didn't really like us, my sister, brother and myself, and was kinda mean. I didn't like to go over to their place; it was really uncomfortable. I only saw my dad once in awhile on birthdays or at Christmas.

The new wife passed away a couple of years ago and all of a sudden I had a dad! We would call and talk to each other often and he even came down to AZ and went golfing with me. We talked about all the times he might come to visit and the golfing we would do as my home is surrounded by a golf course. So his death was very hard to take. I really only got to see my dad as a dad for a little while. I wanted so much more time. But I am grateful for the time we had and soooooo grateful and blessed that I was able to tell him I loved him before he passed.

Thank you all for your prayers and blessings

Sometimes I wonder if men and women really suit each other. Perhaps they should live next door and just visit now and then.
Kathryn Hepburn

I see America, not in the setting sun of a black night of despair ahead of us, I see America in the crimson light of a rising sun fresh from the burning, creative hand of God. I see great days ahead, great days possible to men and women of will and vision.
Carl Sandburg (1878 - 1967)

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.
John F. Kennedy

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
John Stuart Mill (1806 - 1873)

I don't like liars or lazy people who take advantage of others

I despise terrorists, both domestic and foreign

I don't like the news media sticking their noses in places they should not be and then telling us what we heard or saw. We are smarter than they think

I don't like people that come to our country illegally and then take advantage of our systems

I really have no patience or tolerance with people who are always blaming others for their troubles or the Country's troubles and not taking responsibility for themselves.

Hi Lana, We figured you must have been busy this week but we sure enjoyed the time we did spend with you. I have had problems today with my computer but Pat finally got it fixed up for me. I suppose you must be in bed by now so instead of good night I will say good morning. Hugs, Gail
