What a beautiful day we had yesterday at 60°! Happy Friday because even though we may not have as much sunshine, it should be 60° again.
Plants in the garage all got watered. It was so nice not to have the heater on in there as the door opens to the north wind.
Then we had to move the bricks along the bottom of the plastic to get to the temperature device to change the battery. All 4 devices got the batteries replaced.
You want to do it on a warm sunny day with sunshine beating down, not when it is below freezing and you don't know the temperature under there or when to turn the heater on. It was SO humid and hot when I lifted the plastic up. PERFECT for our plants!
We were being proactive since we know the arctic air is on the way (shiver as I type that).
For us life is good when it is warm and the sun is shining brightly and when all our plants are HAPPY! :)
The birds, squirrels & chipmonks are enjoying the warmer morning, scurrying here & there. I love watching them sharing the bird feeders. lol I'm doing chores (dusting, yuck), but enjoying a thankful Thursday. Same for you, Lisa & JB. *hugs*
Good Morning Lisa, hope you can catch the kitty who needs to be fixed. We had a similar problem with our outdoor kitty. She is so skittish and it was a feat to get her in a carrier. Yep, looks like more cold for us all next week. TIme to hunker down again. Hope your Thursday is good.
Good morning Lisa, got a bit of snow overnight. They say we'll finally get above freezing Friday! Now they say rain/snow mix on Saturday. Have a beautiful Thursday.
Good morning, Lisa and JB. The last address I had for Marie was where I sent her Christmas card. Pls send new one. So glad she sounded better w/therapy. Glenn is feeling better, just needs lots of rest. Appmts, except for one Monday, have been put off til Feb. He's ready for inactivity:) Thanks for asking about him, pal. You and JB have a fun & cozy Wednesday. We all may be in for interesting weather again next week. 😁 It's a good day to have a good day. *hugs*
Hi Lisa. Have you had any more snow? I hope you get enough to stay around for a few days. I guess when it melts the ground would become rather slushy. That’s one problem we don’t have here although during our Winter the ground gets very slushy/muddy with all the rain we have. It’s a pleasant 71* today and quite a contrast to yesterday when the max was 100* Mind you we have been fortunate so far this summer with just the odd hot day so far. For some unknown reason I’ve been sneezing all afternoon and can’t stop. There must be something in the air causing some allergy. I do suffer with mild hay fever so I guess that the problem. Hugs Pat.
Good Tuesday Morning! How about a ride on the beach with me today?
Of course it has to be someplace warmer than most of the beautiful graphics going around right now.
So for me, it is a good morning to sit and read all day long, like my online daughter, Jo, shared with me.
I can always just look outside to see the birds that love every season, even a snowy winter.
Or look over at the beautiful Amaryllis that loves to bloom inside during the cold winter days that are outside.
And I am blessed to be able to send Hubby to the mailbox to retrieve the packages and mail as I wait for his speedy return, fixing some nice Hot Chocolate and ...
Sunday we made back to freezing. All gone now, back into the 20's. Looks like another really cold and snowy week. There's a possibilty next weekend could be another major snow storm. Have to wait and see. Anyway it's sunny this afternoon and that is always good even just looking out the window.
good afternoon Lisa, Jan. is not playing around. Cold and damp here though I can't complain... compared to many states it's not bad. We were needing rain and we got 3 plus inches since last night. I won't be mad to see the sun though!
I changed the pictures on my page to share my family from December. Then I thought I would share with you a screenshot of the video of my girls being pulled behind the SUV with the back open. My son, at age 56 last month, will forever be 12 years old. The girls tell him that he is not old enough to drive. They have done this for many years. They live on a dead end street now. They have been learning to drive since they had a small Barbie Car. Then as they got older, they would sit in his lap and drive. When they could reach the pedals, in winter he would take them to empty business parking lots when it snows and teach them how to drive in it. They are 16 (next month) and 17 years old now. Their Dad has made sure they have had fun their entire life. Quote, "Homework will be there later, come outside now!"
Drama on the deck. Let my dog Jasper out on the deck & noticed about 40 blackbirds in the bare maple tree. They were eyeing the hawk sitting atop the evergreen next to them. Hope your week is off to a good start!🌲
We had light snow for about 2 hours..started @ 4 pm. Afterwards, remainder was freezing rain. Got down to 29, and the roads were a mess last night up until today by noon. All will refreeze tonight. Atlanta got a huge burst of snow..for hours..
That's awful with the freezing rain. Hope you didn't have to go out in that. It's scary! Come on 32 degrees to start the melt!!
He looks quite at home, doesn't he. Such a pretty boy.

Here he is..enjoying the late afternoon warmth. Soon though, he'll be scratching on the front door to come back inside. He woke me up this morning. I got up and fed him. He was not even hungry. Let him out..of course he came right back inside since it was 23 degrees..Did I go back to bed? Nope..I'm yawning now at 5 pm...🐈⬛🐾
