Our city had a taste of massive flooding about three years ago, and it is not a good experience for those caught up in it. Water can be so beautiful and restful in its intended location, but is also very powerful and distructive. I hope you and your family have had minimal damage from these waters.

Was seeing on news tonight all the flooding and snow across the US. Crazy weather remains across the country. We have had 80 degrees here for the last few days. But I know winter is taking a break, and will resuface soon. Flowers and shrubs in full bloom. Snakes out.. wishing you and your area safety. Thank you for sharing the pics Shirley-:)

Shirley. Such a worry for you all. I do hope that the waters have receeded and did not reach your house and that the damage to your daughters home was not too severe also for all those neighbours. Quite a frightening time for you all. Nature can be so unpredictable. I can have great empathy with you as where I live in South Australia we very recently were in danger from a Bushfire that became uncomfortably close to our homes before it was contained and have been on high alert since,  so a good heavy rainfall would be a blessing. So many disasters around the world. I pray that you are all safe and there is no more fear of flooding for you.
