Photos Tell the Tale...
Posted On 11/20/2019 13:05:22 by yourchoice

Being that I have a bit of time this morning before our wheels start turning on our road again, I thought I would show my dear friends here on NOTH that I CAN write a short blog... sometimes! I thought I would post two photos that were taken from my favorite spot on the 'warm side of the glass'! Today we have clear blue skies and bright sunshine.
Please take note of the dates on this photo...! Snow-April11 ... and this one nov192019

No... we don't have snow all year...

No... we don't mind the snow... it's November!

No... this doesn't feel like 'global warming'

No... we have no plans to move, unless the HandiBus needs to pick us up!

Yes... this is the green valley that I keep talking about!

I recall hanging out laundry on clothesline back in February. I took it down a week ago...all the while smiling..knowing long before spring arrives, I may be putting it back up. Time will tell. Our seasons are blended indeed. Many years ago, a dear friend oassed suddenly April 15 2005. My husband and I took a day trip two days later to the mountains..just about 2 hours away NW. as we were heading back home late that day, the biggest snowflakes started falling. I smiled and immediately said to myself it was Michelle (my friend who passed) telling me in her special way that she had arrived in her new home, safe and content. For I know this is just another tap on my shoulder that we have a creator in charge. Thanks for the memories.

We had an instance when driving through the mountains on an August weekend some years ago, and hit "black ice". A couple of spins on the highway then nose first off the road. We were stunned... this was August... but thankful for the plateau to land on instead of a cliff.

Also... a older gentleman made his first trip from Maui, Hawaii to spend the summer in our neighborhood. He insisted that he needed to look out of his bedroom window when he woke up to see what the weather was like... rarely the same. He liked it so much more than Hawaii weather... claiming the Hawaii was boring, nothing but green, green, green!!!! We would just "roll our eyes"; and looked forward to an opportunity to test the weather in Hawaii ourselves!

You are so right, Cheryl! Complaining is a wasted effort... we are not the Creator!

I have the same kind of climate here Mona...4 seasons but a third of it a chance of snow and cold!  Today it got to a balmy 50 degrees so we have no snow anymore as it has melted!  We did have 5 inches on the ground already this Fall!  Chance of rain tonigh but towards Thanksgiving they are saying that we could get hit with 3 to 5 inches of snow!  I hope not!  Loved seeing your pictures!  A nice wintery blog!

Four seasons of weather, although sometimes mixed up, makes life interesting. We had a dump of snow in early September when there still were leaves on the trees. I think you are just across the border so me thinks that we send 'weather' down to you at times!
Drive safely ... enjoy Thanksgiving!

What a beautiful view! Love your pics. Snow free at the moment here. But that can change any day now.

Today, we are enjoying my favorite snowy day... clear blue skies, no wind, white blanket of snow... what I call a "blue and white" day!
