And I agree with you, it does "SUCK". Let it rain, or even be 'BLAH', but that constant, 'drippity, drip', is a hemorrhoid, you know, a 'pain in the a**'...LOL

GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS, & BLESSINGS, Ms. Darci, I pray YOU have a SUPERBLY SPLENDID SUNDAY, and have had a MARVELOUS WEEKEND, my friend...

What a sloppy Saturday here. When we need rain, we have to beg for it. When we don't, it's abundant. This afternoon I am going to our middle daughter's (Melanie) for an essential oil party. We will be making three different gift items using essential oils. While I'm with "the girls", Dave will be heading to an auction at a local antique shop that lost its lease and must move. Hopefully the rain will end and we can dry out considerably over the next many days. I'm afraid to even look at the forecast. LOL Have a terrific weekend, rain or shine!

How did the essential oil party go?? Hope you had fun. Did Dave get anything at the auction?? Hope you have a good Sunday. Hugs, Moe

Darci - Friday here was nice and dry even if it was cold - not by Jersey standards though! LOL.  Today was a bit rainy but not drenchng when I went out shopping, and it was about 64 here but warmer in Va. Beach, as Richie went with a friend to do some shopping there.  So I went out to a few places, and got my son something, his girlfriend, and a few more small things for Rich.  Only have to get my second son something and his brother is supposed to send me a link so I can get it and then we'llsplit the cost.  I have no idea what he's waiting for!!

So what are Dave's favorit cookie, Darci?  You neglected to say.  I keep wanting to make some but haven't got the get up and go as yet, and we are leaving for Jersey on Friday morning.  So I need to get going.  A friend posted 4 ingredient peanut butter cookies, not sure how they'd be, but she says good.  My favorite are pecan sandies - havn't made them since my kids were young.

Made baked ziti for dinner tonite an only ate 1/8 of it - it makes so much.  I thought about inviting the neighbors over, to help us eat it, but never know what there plans are.  I might take them half of it as they have two boys - grown - but still boys.  They can  just make a salad to go with it.

Gonna wrap the thingss I bought today and get them ready to go up North.  Honey has been watching old Christmas movies on tv since he got home.  Now on Santa Claus with Tim Allen.  Hope you enjoyed your Saturday and are gettign things all wrapped up for the big day - can't believe it's 10 day away - I'm never gonna make it.  Haven't even sent one Christmas card - haven't gotten any either!!

Wet hugs,  Wendy

Sure you're having fun at Melanie's - rain or no rain.  But I know what you mean, as it has been raining here since last night and is to continue until tomorrow night.  Phooey!  Enough already.  However, at least it isn't snow!     Hugs, Maria

I hope you have a wonderful day with your activities.  David and I ate Hamburgers for lunch.  Now I must do some reading of my Christmas novels.  Hugs, Nancy

Well, it's raining today and will start to turn colder.  That spells ice to me and I don't like that!  Hope Mother Nature is nicer to you!  Darc, I don't use my oils enough either but being so pricey, I use them sparingly and only when I need them.  Some people slop them on like perfume - geesh.  I am excited to hear what you make with them though!  I wrapped two oval galvanized tubs today filled with all kinds of goodies - one for each of my girls' families.  I think they will love it.  I know I would!  Still have rest to wrap but want to get my cards done first to mail out Monday.  Been working on that a little bit at a time.  Hard to believe Christmas is just a little over a week away.  So now I will get my lunch and get crackin'!  Have fun at your party and I hope Dave brings home a lot of Christmas gifts for you : )
Love and Hugs, Nancy

Hi Darci,

Well, there are peeks of sun then it rains. Everything is so soggy with all this rain.
Hopefully after some housecleaning I can find some time for a Christmas movie and crocheting, aahhhh.
Tristan is getting really excited about Christmas and he's making it so much fun for Amanda. she is feeling
pretty miserable at 35 weeks. not much longer for her now. Her hands are sweeling now as well as her hands.
This will definitely be her last baby!
Dylan loves the lights on their tree, he has done good not bothering the gifts under the tree so far.
Hope you have a great weekend whatever you have planned.
Hugs,Rhonda

Good day Darci..so I am tired of this rain..thought it was suppose to move out by now..but the weather app just reminded me earlier..not yet. Guess I will plan on getting my groceries tomorrow. I don’t drive on wet roads, so staying home again today. Laundry will keep me busy. Then, hopefully late afternoon, Dixie and I will watch a few Christmas movies. Whatever you have planned, make it a wonderful day. What all are you baking?

Hello there Darci:

Weather's kind of strange.  One day freezing - the next balmy.  Having a fairly laid-back week gathering my self for the big feast.  Think I'd better diet before rather than after :) :)  Hope your weekend is good.

Hi Darci, no my weather was anything but good yesterday. It rained buckets till last night after dark. This morning I woke up to a beautiful sunbeam peeking through my bedroom window. What a sight for sore eyes that was.  I bet your cookies are yummy. I began my baking yesterday too. Lily and Katelyn helped with the pretzel bites. They have gotten big enough to be a big help.  Hope your weekend is wonderful. loveya, Beth

Have a wonderful weekend.

Happy sunny Tuesday to you. Well sunny for me, at least. Taking our middle daughter to the imaging center for an MRI today and, after that, probably not much else. Our snow is melting and I hope the ground can dry up some before rain comes on Friday and Saturday. It's a soggy, muddy mess. Instead of building snowmen for Christmas, we may all be mud-wrestling. And with that visual, I will leave you now and wish you a terrific day!

Your silly friend,

An enjoyable weekend to you &
hoping your keeping warm . Pretty nice here , nighttime in the 40s
& daytime in the mid 60s. Since we have no more small children we
don't buy for each other because we have all we need we buy a bunch of
toys & gifts for all age groups of kids to give to toys for tots or
our local blue Santa for distribution. Also for our family . Relax a
little & take care......George

Good Morning Because I said so.

You know, I can honestly say that I hate this kind of weather, it's what I call, "DRIPPLY". No, sun, or very little, and then only for minutes at a time, and constant, drizzly, rain. If the sun were shining, even if it were freezing cold, I'd prefer it, and I hate cold...YUCK!!

GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS, & BLESSINGS, Ms. Darci, I pray YOU have a SENSATIONAL STEADFAST SATURDAY, and a WONDERFUL WEEKEND, my friend...

Hi Darci, so glad you enjoyed Chandlers get to gather last night. there is nothing like music to get the children into something they really like and hopefully will stick with. keeps them occupied. Glad you are baking can smell it from here. !!! do enjoy your weekend - have a good one. Hugs, Moe

12/14/2018 19:00:25

I, too, use a mug or plain ordinary teacup and saucer most of the time, but I do have a beautiful Wedgewood teacup and saucer that was given to me many years ago, and I am using it now rather than have it sit in the cupboard, and do you know, the tea tastes better in it.  I swear it does.  Well, most likely it doesn't, but it is so nice to drink my tea from it while eating one of my homemade biscuits or a slice of toast, if I've run out of my biscuits.  If you place a leftover biscuit in a paper towel in the microwave and heat it through for about 12 seconds, butter will melt on it, and it is soooo good!  I love Admad's Ceylon Tea; it is delicious - at least to my taste buds.

Enjoy the weekend - Hugs Maria

These poor little mice seem to have their twinkle lights in a tangle! Similar to what Dave and I just went through with our lights on the front porch. Had a whole string go out and no new bulbs or fuses would help. So down they came and a new string went up. I went to the dr. this morning for routine labs and then we ran to Wet Pets to get a new spotted catfish for the aquarium. How has your day been? Hopefully it's been great for you. Oh Maria, your tea sounds like something out of a fairy tale. How neat. Years ago I went with my mother in law, sister in law and a couple of friends to a tea/luncheon at a church in Charlotte. We were to each bring our own teacup and saucer and lunch was served. It was so much fun. As much as I enjoy playing in the dirt with my gardening and flowers, sometimes it's nice to go all girlie-girl for a bit. I'm like you, though; you'd get whatever was in my cookie jar (usually Oreos for the grandkids) and a mug for your tea. I have some of my gram's old teacups in a display case and don't use them. So a mug it would be. But I do have Earl Grey tea.

Many hugs~

Darci

No, weather not good - rain, rain, rain.  Did finish Christmas shopping, though; now that's good!   Hugs, Maria

What a rainy, cold Friday it is. But it's all good because I've gotten some things done and now am baking a double batch of Dave's favorite cookies for Christmas. My house smells like Mrs. Claus's kitchen. I have Christmas music playing and am feeling very festive. How is your day going, Maria? Is your weather good?

Happiest hugs~

Darci
