We'll the Ole' Groundhog says we'll have an early Spring. I guess we'll see what Mother Nature has in store for us as I know I'm ready for Spring! Today is going to be a laid back day here.
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS, & BLESSINGS, Ms. Darci, I pray YOU have a SENSATIONALLY SATISFYING SATURDAY, and are having a MARVELOUS WEEKEND, my friend...
A blessed evening to you. The cold spell has now left. In the 20's above mark for tomorrow. Sounds heavenly. Then the snow will be coming down for many days starting Sunday. Looking like winters I remember years ago. Warms my heart and puts a smile on my face.
Hello sweet friend... Well, we made it through the -40 degree temps and power failure. without many problems (layering up helped a lot, lol) I hope you've had a good week, and rest well tonight. See ya tomorrow Lots of Hugs, Judi
Just an FYI - They were out of penguin cookies : ( She said come back end of next week. I may just call and order to make sure I get some. They were so darn cute! I behaved myself and didn't even buy a decorated heart cookie but I did get a quart of beef and noodles : )
Hi Darci, yes Wednesday was wild and crazy cold for most of the country. Cold here too though most up north would not think so in comparison their sub freezing temps. Did Dave get your furniture like you want it? I expect he is used to it by now. lol. Yesterday was a busy day with a doctor appt for me then visiting my niece at her new home then birthday shopping for Lily. She will be ten tomorrow. Where does the time go?! Good riddance to January I say, it seemed to last 3 months. lol. Welcome to Fe. and happy weekend. Hope you are warm and cozy and enjoying a nice relaxing day. big hugs to you, Beth
Well, here we go again, Darc. No school again today! We now have 3 inchres of snow and still snowing. I took the trash out and it is slippery under there! So must have had freezing rain before the snow. I'm leaving shortly to get my mop cut. Then off to get my penguin cookies : ) Have a great Friday, enjoy your wings, and Happy February! Love-filled Hugs, Nancy
Sooo.... tell me Darci what will the groundhog give us? Good news I hope. Had a sorta relaxed day yesterday but still too cold to be outside. Temps supposed to rise soon (I hope). Keep warm.
I've had a busy week and a full weekend planned. Februaay is another month of birthdays that we get to share in and celebrate .... I must admit that I'm about partied out. March will be bliss. lol
A pastor had a kitten that climbed up a tree in his backyard, and then was afraid to come down. The pastor coaxed, offered warm milk, etc. The kitty would not come down. The tree was not sturdy enough to climb, so the pastor decided that if he tied a rope to his car and drove away so that the tree bent down, he could then reach up and grasp the kitten.
He did all this, kept getting out to check, then figured if he went just a little bit farther, the tree would be bent sufficiently for him to reach the kitten. But as he moved a little farther forward... the rope broke.
The tree went *Boing!* and the kitten instantly sailed through the air- out of sight. The pastor felt very bad. He walked all over the neighborhood, asking people if they'd seen a little kitten. No. Nobody had seen a kitten. So he prayed, "Lord, I just commit this kitten to Your keeping," and went on about his business.
A few days later, he was at the grocery store, and he met Melissa Jefferson, one of his church members. He happened to look into her shopping cart, and he was amazed to see cat food. Knowing she hated cats, he asked her, "Why are you buying cat food when you hate cats so much?" She replied, "You won't believe this," and told him how her little girl Meghan had been begging her for a cat, but she kept refusing. Then a few days before, the girl had begged again, and so the Mom finally told her little girl, "Well, if God gives you a cat from heaven, I'll let you keep it."
You can guess the rest. She told the pastor, "I watched my little girl go out in the yard, get on her knees, and ask God for a kitty cat. And really, Pastor, you won't believe this, but I saw it with my own eyes. A kitten suddenly came flying out of the blue sky, with its paws spread out, and landed right in front of her.
Hi Darci, so glad you didn't move Dave's chair and he is happy with the other results. we need a change us women that'f for sure. I hope you enjoy your wings for supper, wish I was there to share. Love wings. will you watch the Super bowl? take care and have a good day. Hugs, Moe
While we were on our anniversary cruise, Geralyn and I enjoyed strolling through the shops in downtown Cozumel, Mexico and then listening to a talented street performer play.
When John and I disembarked from our cruise ship, we were told that the seas were too choppy for a small boat to take us to a nearby beach which was what we selected for our shore excursion. Other than strong winds, the day was sunny and beautiful. So, we decided we would explore the city of Cozumel. We've been to Cozumel about 4 times but we always enjoy strolling through the city.
Like half the North American continent still bitter weather for us. Some say it's Global Warming that is messing up everything. But Trump says GW isn't happening so it must something else :) :)
Anyway, staying close to home - not venturing out if I don't have to. Hope the groundhogs have good news: we need an early Spring.
