No one could ask more than what the people of the site have given. Bravery, compassion and strength of character. But I think what I'll miss most is the fun when it is over. The times we joked together, the drama on the site of who is seeing who. I'll remember the laughter more than anything. Although someday I will not be with you for the rest of the journey, I know that you'll be the same steadfast members of the site. I wish you a safe and speedy journey. My thoughts will be with you when I no longer type. SPOILER ALERT: this is not a resignation nor an obituary. Just a good thought for the new year.

Good morning. 25* heading for 35*. Uncertainty about today. Maybe church depending on how I feel about frost on the windshield. Tomorrow the countdown ends on an appointment I thought of cancelling. I will get the opinion of taking the splint off and thus whether to go back to the coffee. Of course it will be too late for the coffee tomorrow. I may wait a few more days for the coffee to get the wrist and arm back in shape. The big thing for me is to be able to put a glove on again with this cold weather. Have a good day. Hello Lisa. Have you had that snow yet? It’s a bit hard for me to imagine here with the Temp today in the mid 80’s. Did the laundry earlier. It wasn’t out long before being ready to bring back in and now it’s all folded and packed away. Have just finished cutting up a piece of watermelon to put in the fridge for snacks later and now spending some time at the computer relaxing.

Hello Lisa, hope your New Year's day is good and if it started off with a bang or many bangs as ours did, that you still got some good sleep. The neighbors had a big bonfire and lots of fireworks to celebrate. My poor dogs were not happy.When my kids were little we did fireworks too each year but can't now even if we wanted to. Are you cooking black eyed peas today? That's the tradition here. Hope Rhonda is continuing to improve.
We made it to 2024! At least I hope we both made it! Here we go! I wonder where this year will lead us.

Thanks so much for your sweet words and prayers. We saw her yesterday for a few hours..thry were telling us she would be discharged today. I hope she will rest and quit trying to do everything for everyone. There's an issue with her daughter and child custody of her grandson, so while she was in hospital, she's worried herself over his welfare. Kids are so innocent, and end up being pawns. God has it 💜
she couldn't even try and rest in the hospital. So sad. Praying for her and her grandson and their situation 🙏
Well, 2023 is coming to an end. Where did the time go? And soon it will be 2024, I'm sure there will be fireworks going off around the neighborhoods. As for me, I'm just going to have a nice quiet evening with a bowl of popcorn and movies on Hallmark and Lifetime channel. And who knows if I will manage to stay up till midnight to ring in the new year. Whatever it is you do to celebrate the new year, I hope you have fun and stay safe...
