May Christmas help you fulfill all the dreams of your heart. May this season mark the beginning of a fabulous new year, Blessings and joys to you my great friend Lisa.
Friday is for the Dogs and it will soon be Christmas. Are all your pets ready for their presents?
Is this a real dog or is it a stuffed animal? It does look a lot like one of our dogs. So cute!
Maybe you are getting a new puppy for Christmas. Talk about cute! There is nothing like a baby.
And yet, there is nothing like the unconditional love of the old family pet that is always happy to see you with lots of kisses.
Especially when they know in their heart that you are Santa to them every day of the year. My hubby is the "Snackie Man." However, I have been known to sneak a bite of what I am eating to them from time to time!
Good morning. 38* going to hit 45*. Today os something I like to call, the day getting lighter. I have looked out the window several times but I do not see it. Of course it is 2:30am so............ Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
I'm glad you're enjoying the meat and cheese combo. I ordered one for me too. The only thing different is that I got one that has 2 little boxes of flavored crackers. I like cheese and crackers. I knew you wouldn't want the crackers, but I suppose DH could have eaten those. They have others with candy assortments and even jelly samplers, but that's out too..
Gift cards are what I like to give too. This way the person can buy whatever they want. I don't like wrapping gifts anymore. Gifts cards are easier and I like easy! ha!
Stopping in with a quick hello and to wish you a good night! I do look at Christmas lights with my daughter and grandsons. There is a children's home in town here that decorates a lot and you can drive all around to each home. The do a beautiful job. Hugs,Rhonda
Hello Lisa… Christmas is almost upon us. I imagine many of us are busy with last minute things to do. I wanted to stop by and wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas! Love, Augie
Hello. It has been quite a busy day apart from the usual daily chores I went to town to have my hair trimmed, then off to collect a ceiling fan that I had ordered. The streets were so busy it was hard to find a park close to the store. Took me three attemps before I found one close enough. Fortunately one of the staff carried the box out to the car for me of that I was very grateful. Also went to the Post Office to mail the last of the cards then back home.
Now as I sit here I'm watching the Cricket on TV. I think that's sort of multi-tasking with pleasure LOL. Enjoy your day. Hugs Pat.
I know that by now, your tree is up and decorated and there are probably presents wrapped under it... that is if you are putting a tree up this year.
This is a beautiful tree but there isn't much room under it for presents.
But Christmas is about so much more than presents. We celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus and give thanks for His sacrifice to forgive us for our sins.
Remember this Thursday to share His light, joy, love, peace, humility, kindness, and generosity with others when you look at the star on the top of the tree.
Greetings. One day closer to the big day, a dental appointment in May. Tomorrow, for the people on the site who are on top of the world, more light. Ciao
A busy day, week...month. Another trip to grocery store. Guess I'll start some baking tomorrow. The hub is on vacation now till Jan 1. All this vacation time..I never acquired this luxury in my prior meager jobs. That chapter is behind me now. One day I'll write a novel on the various work atmospheres and people that were mixed in. One more chilly night..then we see 60..rain chances most of next week, including Christmas.
Good morning. It’s Forefathers Day! On this day, we celebrate the anniversary of the pilgrims’ landing in Plymouth, Massachusetts on December 21, 1620. This holiday is also sometimes celebrated on the 22nd instead of the 21st due to a calendar mix-up that occurred hundreds of years ago! This happened before some of us were on this site. This also includes the story of the FIVE KERNELS OF CORN. I don't know if I believe that one or not but it is part of the festivities. Most people will see this celebration tomorrow when they look to see what they should celebrate but for us........ we will know. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Hello Lisa, still doing a little baking. I'm mostly done though. I made meringues which you may like if you're still doing keto. It's just egg white, sugar and vanilla extract or whatever flavor you want to add. happy mid week, it's been a busy one for us all I guess. love n hugs,Beth
Good morning. Happy HUMP DAY. Starting the day at 30°, heading to 42°. It looks like the wind has subsided. We move one day closer to Christmas. On Christmas Eve, when I go to church, I am usually pushed out to the outer doors of the veranda. It seems like everyone goes to church on Christmas who never goes the whole year. I am not a fan of crowds but it really doesn't inconvenience me to be in the vestibule as I frequently spend time at church there. Not so much right now. But when I go on the weekend, I usually spend it in the MOTHER'S ROOM. Naturally I try to get to the grocery store and other places before the last two days before Christmas to avoid the crowds. I'm undecided on what I shall prepare on Christmas for dinner. It can't be a game time decision if I have to get something special at the store. I am leaning towards ham as it does not have to be prepared. I use to attend the Radisson Hotel for brunch. They have an excellent brunch. As a matter of fact, I used to go there every week for brunch. Then they discontinued the weekly brunch and only have it on special occasions like Mother's Day and Easter. So now I do not go at all. I shall remain in sequestration as I live vicariously through the people on the web. Usually there's a capacity crowd of people who can converse online. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
