Great Smokey Mountains

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park will celebrate a 75 year milestone this year. The park was established June 15, 1934 but it did not come about without a lot of dedicated volunteers, love and money. The land suitable for the Park was not owned by the Federal Government and Congress would not appropriate money for the purchase of land for National Parks. I have just spent all morning crying.  I went online this morning to buy a Christmas gift for one of my grandsons.  I received an email in a bit from the retail store; saying my card had been declined.  I thought,
