BLOGS: A blog, simply put, is something you have written, or written about.

We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

Mom hasn't passed yet but it is only a matter of hours or days. The doctors and nurses are warning us so we are trying to prepare a reserve of strength to handle it. As big and loving her heart is, it can not continue to work with only a 10% function.  For me, Mom was always my best friend. The word “was” is a horrible word to use here but Mom developed Lewy’s Body Dementia and her once sharp, witty and inquisitive mind saw a quick decline in the last year and... Read More

I begin making my way northward.  I'm going to meet Robert and we are going to our time-sha... Read More

The piece in which Dominis’ photos appeared — an extraordinary 12-page feature in the Jan. 31, 1964, issue of LIFE, titled “The Valley of Poverty” — was one of the very first substantive reports in any American publication on President Lyndon Johnson’s nascent “war on poverty.” At the time, LIFE was arguably the most influential weekly magazine in the country, and without doubt the most widely read magazine anywhere to regularly publish major photo essays by the world...
