We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

Hamlet and The Plumber
Posted On 01/28/2020 15:19:29 by texasjane
I once had a plumber show up in pink jeans and a pink shirt. He was over six feet tall with a beard. His figernails were painted pink to match his lip stick. I have some very dear friend who are Gay, but this guy took my breath away. He was a Nelly and wanted everyone to know it. He had the swish in his walk and an I dare you to say anything attitude.  He talked a lot with his painted fingernail hands twirling through the air like gay flags saying look at me.He made it very plain from the g... In Search of A Blue Bird

Looking out my window today at the pecan tree with the blue sky and sunshine reminded me of another day just like this one. Today reminds me of a day when I was searching for a special blue bird. Posted On 01/27/2020 00:28:11 by texasjane
My quiet night at home ended with an invitation to play bingo. I met 9 women named Jane. After the introductions, we all sat at the same table. We chatted about how each of them had gotten the name Jane. It is an old name in these parts and once the vote was counted, it was unanimous; all of us really like our names. We all related stories about our names. This was mine. While I was at the orphanage, I was called Cotton-top because my hair was snow white. My little sister, however, called m... Read More

Summer In Our Back Yard!
Posted On 08/21/2019 00:12:36 by yourchoice
I haven’t written a blog for some time, and I’ve been “off The Hill” for longer periods of time. It’s all about life, and what happens when we least expect it. We are doing well… in the midst of our major/minor physical “overhaul”! But rather than giving a detailed medical report, I thought I would share some activities in our backyard.Early in July, I was enjoying some sunshine from my valley-side window when I witnessed a brief visit from a young bobcat. I haven’t seen one up... Read More
