We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

Tupperware
Posted On 10/01/2024 14:54:19 by Altara3
Sadly, I read where Tupperware has filed for bankruptcy, Chaper 11 'protection'.  I'll admit  I stopped buying it many years ago & didn't even realize the company was still around.
However, this product lasts forever! I still have 2 Harvest Gold cannisters that I use frequently.  I'm sure they are from the 1980's--maybe even the70's.   And, I have a 'set' of tiny containers; I think they are maybe 2 ounce size. Right now I have 'something' in 3 of them. I may hav... Read More

Computers
Posted On 09/21/2024 11:35:00 by Altara33606
I think I once wrote a blog about all my computers. This is basically about Desktop vs Laptop.  Well, my first one, of course, was a Desktop--and it lasted 6-7 yrs. That was great.
But after having a 'lemon' of a desktop, I finally got a laptop--mainly because it was less expensive, etc.  That worked fine, but it was very slow. The next one I got was faster and I was happy with it.  Somewhere after that, I got a nice Desktop--and knowing what I know now, I "should have" spent... Read More

Colors vs black/white

Maybe it's my creative side, but I really prefer "colors" vs Black/white, no matter what it's "on". It's fine with me, if others like that. But not me.  I also prefer colored lights on my Christmas trees! To me, having all 'white' lights makes it just too dull. And yes, when possible I also prefer 'twinkling'.
I recently read a story about a woman whose home was 'beige/tan/white', etc.  She refused to have any 'colors' in her decorating theme. That sounds so dull to me!! ... Read More

The 45 yr old hair dryer
Posted On 07/20/2024 11:40:40 by Altara3
This morning when I washed my hair, I looked at this old blow-dryer: 1875 Watts.   I had no idea if this was 'standard', but when I looked around just now--it seems to be. But maybe back then it was extra strong. My husband bought this Revlon hair dryer in the early 80's or maybe even in the 70's--for work. He was a technician & sometimes needed this when working.
Now, he retired in 1983. And eventually, when my 'then' blow dryer quit, I grabbed this one--and have b... Read More
