BLOGS: A blog, simply put, is something you have written, or written about.

We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

SUMMER … and Family moments!
Posted On 07/29/2014 22:02:30 by yourchoice
We have returned home after a wonderful three-day respite in the mountains. We don’t swim, water ski, boogy-board, or hike, but we enjoyed the wonders of creation ... high majestic mountains, rushing clear-water streams, fresh locally- grown fruit, and the silence where we parked the boat in a secluded cove. Best of all … we had the rare opportunity of having our entire family together … our son and daughter with their families. For Ed and I, to have all five grandchildren together at the... Read More

Two events caused us to pack our bags and hit the road again ... two grandgirls are playing in Championship Little League ball games (we've never had the opportunity to watch them in any of their sports events), and ... the Annual Kiwanas Rummage Sale weekend. We love the adventure of looking for bargains that are so good that we can't afford not to buy them. If we don't need it... Read More

There are times when the most common of occurrences turns out to be the beginning of an unexpected delight. From my point of view, I can only kick a few tires before I’ve had enough. So, what else could we do for the afternoon?I’m sure it’s no surprise for those who have read my page, or know me through our correspondence, that the first thing tha... Read More

What Is The Cost of Dual Citizenship?
Posted On 01/28/2014 17:23:31 by yourchoice
My story began in the early ‘80s (or so I thought) when we closed our family business in Western Canada, and considered moving to the U.S. to join friends who had moved there two years earlier. Our daughter had been accepted to a U.S. College in Indiana, which was quite an independent choice of hers. In considering our options, we learned of a little known U.S. law that stated that anyone born before 1947 of U.S. born parents, could receive their U.S. Citizenship without any category attached,...
