We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

Sun Rises and Sunsets
Posted On 02/21/2020 01:02:08 by texasjane
No matter where you are in the world the sunsets and sunrises are beautiful. God opens and closes each day with the orange (the color for compassion), pink (the color for love), white (the color for purity), purple (the color for principal or royalty), green (the color for sharing) and blue (the color for truth), and yellow (the color for knowledge or gold for the crown he wears). I forgot to add the color red which is the color for action. These are the colors and the qualities he gave each of h... Read More

There Is Someone At The Door
Posted On 02/15/2020 10:39:49 by texasjane
I got a call late last night that the Chief of Police would be coming by to see me this morning.  I had a hunch it would involve someone who needed my help.  Now, you must understand... I do not have a door bell.  Anyone who is coming to see me must call first.  If I am in the back of the house I cannot hear if someone is at the front door.  I am not hard of hearing but the TV is usually going or I have music playing.  If I know someone is coming, I unlock the front... None of these kids had ever heard of The Lone Ranger.I announced to the kids I had something special to show them. I went on to say this was about a hero I had when I was a k... Read More

Hamlet Gets Arrested
Posted On 02/13/2020 07:17:18 by texasjane

Dirt all over his face and body.  Like a common criminal.  The officer knew exactly where this young man belonged.  It all started when a neighbor decided to also get a pot bellied pig.  I think it was more curiosity than it was jealousy.

I would not have know he had even gotten out of the yard without the help of a thoughtless pedestrian.  He saw Hamlet making eyes at the pig on the other side of the fence and said, "Looks like a g... Read More

A Smart Mouth at The Age of Six
Posted On 02/11/2020 01:46:17 by texasjane
One of my biggest problems when I started school was keeping my mouth shut. Especially, if I was just trying to be funny. I got in more trouble trying to be funny than I ever did actually misbehaving. Junior High was a different story but we will save that one for another time. I am talking getting a spanking for reciting the alphabet.Does that shock you, well it shocked me too. I will give you the conversation and let you decide if the switch I had to go find and give my grandmother was correct... Read More
